What do you get when you plan to surprise your dad on his birthday vacation to the west coast?? A whole lot of SUNSHINE and SMILES!

The lovely Suozzi FAMILY vacation to Southern California is a trip they will definitely remember forever, thanks to beautiful daughters Paige and Alexis. Paige found me via Instagram and contacted me to book a family session. However, this wasn’t just any regular family session. This session was to celebrate their father’s 60th birthday! Their dad, Ernie, and mom, Andrea, planned a trip to Newport Beach for Ernie’s birthday; just the two of them. Little did Ernie know, Andrea and their daughters were planning to SURPRISE him on his birthday vacation by showing up! Cue the “aweeessss” because I know my heart melted when I read the details! Ernie and Andrea flew all the way from Hilton Head, South Carolina to vacation in Orange County. Paige and her husband, Colby, traveled from Las Vegas. Alexis and her husband, Ryan, along with their adorable little kids, twins Lila and Wes and baby sister Quinn, traveled all the way from Washington, D.C.!

When I first approached them on the beach for their session, everyone was SO SWEET and smiley! The little ones were just so adorable and so well behaved! We started out with family formals and then let the kids, as well as the grown ups, splash around in the water for some candid fun. We got to explore some tide pools (so neat, right?!) and made sand castles. Small breakout sessions gave the little ones some time to enjoy the beach. 

Suozzi Family, I am so honored you chose me to document such a special family trip! From your friendly conversations, to all the love you have for one another, to your little ones being the sweetest, most well behaved kids, I truly had such a memorable time.
