“You may kiss your bride.” Those five words that signify the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one. A new chapter as husband and wife. A new chapter that lasts for eternity. All those days leading up to the wedding you’ve only dreamt about. Planned for. Cried over. The announcement as husband and wife was made. Friends and family clapped and cheered, standing up in unison. Carmen and Henry made their way back up the aisle, paused for a kiss and made their way to the cool, air conditioned building. I followed quickly to capture the first moments as husband and wife. Tears filled Carmen’s eyes, and rolled down her sun-kissed cheeks. The emotions and reality, kicking in. She’s now married to the love of her life. Her soulmate. Her best friend.

Carmen and Henry’s wedding at Christ Cathedral in Orange County, California, was a dream to document. The modern architecture paired with the stunning florals by Peonies and Petals and gold accents created a beautiful backdrop to Carmen and Henry’s warm summer wedding. Carmen and Henry both have wanderlust, adventurist personallities. Their love for travel was tied in to their cute mini suitcase favor boxes. During the reception, you could feel the excitement and love as Carmen and Henry’s friends and family celebrated the marriage of these two cuties.
