It was the most perfect Southern California weather to be getting married. The sun, shining. The breeze, cool from the ocean mist. Allison and Chris, ready to make the ultimate commitment of love at the beautiful cliffside Cannon’s restaurant in Dana Point. 

The guests grew quiet. The music began to play. I shifted into place at the front of the aisle. I looked to my left. Ready. Standing. Breathing. Deep breaths. These last few moments before he sees his bride. Finally, the look. That first glimpse of his perfect, beautiful bride. He gasped. Grabbed his chest like he got the wind knocked out of him. Closed his eyes tightly and reopened them, as if he was waking from a dream. Only to realize his dream had come true. As Allison approached the floral arch and reached for Chris’ hand, their eyes met, and their smiles widened. The moment they have been waiting for, dreaming of, and planning; their wedding day was here. As they recite their vows:

“These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever. These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other…”

The tears start to collect behind my lens as I try to fight them away. These words have so much meaning to me because they are the same words I said to my husband on our wedding day.

The first look during the wedding ceremony always gets me! Every wedding that I get the honor of witnessing, holds a special place in my heart. The love that I see Chris and Allison have for one another is beyond magical and so fairy-tale like. I just adore couples like Chris and Allison. Seeing the love they have for one another is so beautiful to witness!

Allison and Chris, thank you so much for the honor of documenting your beautiful wedding day! The beauty you have, inside and out, is so apparent. The love you have for one another so inspiring.
